The Signdance Group is an international leader in disability‑led performance and the pioneering creator of Signdance Theatre — a unique fusion of sign languages, dance, theatre, and music. Based in Pula, Croatia and Wycombe Arts Centre, UK, we collaborate globally to innovate, strengthen accessibility, and build meaningful cultural connection.

Origins

Founded in 1986, Signdance Theatre began in London and developed across Europe, including a formative period on a barge in Amsterdam. Our 40‑year history is rooted in Deaf and disabled leadership, artistic experimentation, and community engagement.
